In the Virginia courtroom, Johnny Depp allegedly sent a damning text message to Amber Heard, who was left embarrassed by the messages. The text was clearly labeled as incoming messages to Depp, meaning he did not write them. Depp suggested that Amber Heard’s attorney had fabricated Lewd text messages he is alleged to have sent to a former personal assistant.
During the recently concluded defamation hearing, Depp expressed happiness that Amber wanted to fight this out and was excited to have this waste of a guzzler out of his life. In August 2016, messages sent to Depp’s former talent agent Christian Carino featured a series of insults, including calling Amber a dangling overused flappy fish market. Depp also mentioned meeting a sublime little Russian here, which made him realize the time he blew in that 50 cent stripper and wouldn’t touch her with a goddamn glove.
Depp maintained that the text didn’t come from him, especially the one in which he seemed to have written that a woman’s rightfully mine should he not just bust in and remove its hinges. On February 22, 2017, Depp wrote to his ex-fiance, Lady Gaga, referring to a new relationship. Depp also mentioned wanting to change her understanding of what it’s like to be thrashed around like a pleading Mackerel.
The texts were also brought up in In Depth’s UK trial against the Sun when he sued the publication for libel over an article that called him a wife beater. The actor lost that 2020 case after the court found that the majority of Amber’s abuse allegations were substantially true ahead of presenting the lewd messages.
Depp put on his spectacles to look at the messages as the lawyer asked him if he was looking at the text messages that he had sent to Deuters in February 2017. The actor paused for several seconds as he looked at the screen before saying no, stating that he might have been mistaken.
The humiliation was caused by Rottenborn, who did not verify the sources of the nasty messages he read before the entire world. Depp’s lawyer, Ben Rottenborn, was left embarrassed by the text messages and the subsequent defamation hearing.
